Yes! We offer flexibility for you to switch to either a longer or shorter distance right up until the start of your originally registered distance. We love being able to offer this option to our athletes by operating as a multicourse event!
- Before Your Start: You can make this change yourself by logging into RunSignup using the link in your confirmation email, email us, or simply inform the staff at packet pick-up.
- Important Safety Note: You must notify us if you switch your distance while running or if you decide to do so after picking uup your bib, or you will be disqualified. This policy is strictly enforced to ensure your safety and accurate tracking on the course.
Yes, absolutely, we love having your children join us! We leave parenting decisions to you, so there is no age limit for any distance—that's entirely up to your discretion.
- Registered Runners: Any child participating on foot must be registered for the event just like every other athlete.
- Strollers & Riders: There is no need to notify us about children out for a ride in their stroller.
- Supervision Rule: For safety, children under 5 years old must be accompanied by an adult on the course.
We do! Check out the season series, available before the first event of the season starts, where you can get 25% off each event.
Yes! If scheduled work, travel plans, family commitments, or limited local racing options are keeping you away, or if the weather conditions just don't match your training goals or running style, we've got you covered with our Virtual Event Entry. This option is perfect for staying connected to far-away friends and ensures you receive all the custom SWAG and the finisher medal shipped directly to you. Plus, participating virtually still earns you valuable points towards the Run Amok Championship.
Yes! We allow registered participants to transfer their entry to a friend or family member up to two days before the event. You can self-service this transfer by clicking on the edit registration link in your confirmation email, or you can email us. The new participant MUST accept the transfer in RunSignup and review and sign their own participation waiver.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Giving your entry to someone else without officially processing a transfer is strictly against both AMP and USATF regulations. Doing so will subject you to disciplinary action, including but not limited to a full-year ban from all AMP events.
There are absolutely no refunds under any circumstances whatsoever from All-Out. This policy is strictly adhered to in fairness to all athletes, so please do not email asking for an exception.
Event Protection: Athletes may purchase third-party event protection insurance during registration. Any refund claims through this insurance must be made directly through that vendor. You can learn more about the claim process HERE.
Cannot Attend? If you cannot attend an event, you can defer to another event (more than 2 weeks before Polar Prowl), or if it is less than two weeks before the event, you still have the following options:
- Transfer your entry to another participant.
- Downgrade your distance.
- Change your entry to a virtual event.
- Have us hold or ship your SWAG to you.
Chargebacks and Bans
- Submitting a chargeback through your payment method for a valid registration, without first using the options listed above, will result in serious action:
- You will be disqualified from that event.
- You will be barred from all All-Out events for 1 year.
If a participant registers for an All-Out event while being barred, that registration will be canceled with no refund.
Definitely! Race day registration is available. Just walk up to the registration tent at the venue, where you will complete your sign-up online right there, and we'll immediately get you your bib and SWAG.
A few notes on race day registration:
- Payment: We do not accept cash or checks. All race day registrations must be processed online using a card.
- Availability: If you choose to wait until race day to register, your options for guaranteed race shirt and finisher medal availability may be limited.
All-Out is committed to being open and inclusive of all athletes. We encourage you to register with the gender you currently identify with, including the non-binary option. We will accept and award results based on your declared gender as registered, with no additional supporting evidence required.
Awards
We welcome athletes who identify as non-binary. At this time, we only present division awards in the male and female gender categories.
- To Compete for Place Awards: If you identify as non-binary but wish to compete for place awards (Overall and Division), we ask that you sign up within the male or female gender pool that you most closely identify with.
- Overall Finishers: Non-binary athletes who place in the top three overall for their distance will still receive an overall award.
Rest assured, Polar Prowl offers the distance you trained for! We use a dual-GPS system and the shortest-path method to precisely measure our courses and determine turnaround locations. We measure every course multiple times on the ground, ensuring accuracy. While digital apps like Strava estimate distances based on digitized trail routes, which may show minor differences, you can have confidence that our course is accurately measured to the expected distance.
Your registration fee covers much more than just a spot on the starting line—it ensures you participate in a safe, high-quality event that provides exceptional value. We invest in necessary permits, sanctioning, and medical support, plus the costs for the venue, professional timing, announcers, and restrooms. Your fee also includes all that sweet SWAG (shirts, custom finisher medals, stickers, medal engraving, and free race photos), essential on-course support (water, electrolytes, and energy supplements), and of course, the great post-race meal featuring breakfast burritos, chocolate milk, and fruit. We are a great value for your fully supported run!
Please review the RunSignup privacy policy for questions on how your data entered into the RunSignup system is used.
Registering for any All-Out event serves as an automatic opt-in to our email list to ensure you receive important updates.
- Unsubscribing: If you prefer to look up event specifics on your own, an unsubscribe link is provided at the bottom of every email. Once you unsubscribe, you will not receive additional marketing or general info emails, even if you register for another event.
- Event-Specific Emails: Unsubscribing only affects marketing emails; you will still receive event-specific emails essential for the events you are currently registered for.
Privacy Guarantee
We have a very simple policy regarding your personal information:
- Third Parties: We limit sharing information with third parties only to what is absolutely necessary to deliver the quality features we've promised (e.g., timing).
- Charity Sharing: We will only share your contact information with the benefiting charity if you have explicitly selected "yes" to the registration question asking if you want additional information from them.
Otherwise, our rule is absolute:
Rule 1: We will never, ever share your personal or contact information with anyone else... ever. Rule 2: When in doubt, see Rule 1.
Because our SWAG must be ordered far in advance:
Late Online Registration (Late Pricing): Athletes who register online after advance pricing ends will receive SWAG on a first-come, first-served basis. If your preferred size is unavailable when you register, please select your next best size to ensure you get a shirt, then stop by packet pick-up after registration closes to see if a swap is possible.
Walk-Up Registration: To ensure those who registered earliest receive the size they ordered, athletes who register during walk-up registration (at early packet pick-up or on race day) may need to wait until after registration closes to select from the sizes available
It is your responsibility to make yourself aware of all policies in advance. We wish we could avoid the legal stuff, but agreeing to the waivers and submitting payment for your entry fee constitutes your acceptance of all AMP policies, without exception.
Please be sure you read and fully understand the Participant Waiver and Release of Liability/Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement
All athletes will be required to read through sign this document before they will be allowed to participate in any All-Out event.
Since the vast majority of event materials (SWAG, food, and supplies) are purchased two or more weeks in advance, your entry fee is already spent in preparation for your race. At that point, you are counted into all orders, and processing a deferral would unfortunately mean we would purchase supplies on your behalf twice. Don’t worry though—even close to race day, you still have flexible options! Please check our Rules & Policies for details on transferring your entry, downgrading your distance, or switching to the virtual event.
The processing fee you see when registering is a necessary part of offering a smooth, secure, and quality online registration experience. Our online registration partners charge this fee so they can continue to provide high-quality services and technology that benefit both the event and our athletes.
Spam filters can sometimes send our communications to your junk folder or even block them completely, even if you’ve received them before. Rest assured, if you’re registered, we are sending the emails.
You will receive an initial confirmation email when you register. Another one will be sent out the Monday before Polar Prowl with all the athlete instructions and details you need to know.
To ensure you receive all vital event details, please add runsignup.com and alloutmultipro.com to your contact list or specifically allow emails from these domains on your end. If you haven't done this or you are not receiveing emails despite doing this, please plan to regularly check the event website for all official updates.
Packet Pick-Up
Yes! As long as you registered online and you’ve already agreed to the waiver, the person picking up just needs your name, so by all means… save some gas & have one person pick up for your whole group!
Sorry, no… not even your spouse. Unless you are under 18, you must sign your own waiver. (Minors must have a parent or guardian present to register and sign their waiver.)
Check out our schedule page for the address and a link to diriving directions for early packet pick-up.
We reserve Friday nights exclusively for Saturday event set-up. This dedicated time is essential for accurately marking the entire course and safely distributing equipment from one end to the other. By focusing on set-up just before the event, we mitigate the risk of theft or vandalism and ensure you can count on the "no brainer" race day we promise!
Managing all the last-minute details for an endurance event is a major undertaking, especially with just one full-time staff member. To ensure we don't neglect the critical course setup and execution details you're counting on, we've carefully balanced our schedule: we offer early packet pick-up during specific hours to serve the majority of runners, and we provide convenient on-site race day packet pick-up for everyone else.
Getting There and On the Course
We absolutely love our 4-legged participants! To ensure a fun and safe day for all runners, please observe a few rules:
- Leash Safety: Please be sure to lock your retractable leash to a short lead (non-retractable is preferred) and keep your leash as short as practicable at all times.
- Start Line Etiquette: Please line up behind those runners who are "in it to win it" at the start.
- On-Course Etiquette: We hope this goes without saying, but you must follow all municipal laws regarding keeping dogs leashed. Additionally, you must immediately pick up any poop, whether your dog relieves itself on or off the trail.
- Hydration & Treats: Every aid station and the finish line aid tent are equipped with dog water bowls. Plus, we'll have dog treats waiting for your furry friends at the gear check tent!
Oh, and be ready for our staff to love on them a bit... or a lot!
Yes, however, for your safety, please be sure to keep the volume at a level where you can still hear announcements, course instructions, and other users of the trails.
Absolutely, all are welcome to participate using a stroller or wheelchair!
We just ask that you follow a couple of guidelines for everyone's safety and smooth course flow:
- Please start at the back of the pack to prevent blocking the course for your fellow athletes.
- Make sure to take a look at the event page for trail surface materials to ensure they are compatible with your stroller or wheelchair.
We provide TRIPLE the facilities of other events in the venue, plus multiple units on-course, so you won't wait in long lines.
You betcha! Beginners and veterans alike are welcome at all AMP events. Please feel free to participate as competitively as you feel comfortable—we are here for you! To support every athlete, we proudly offer a no time limit on any distance.
Absolutely, all are welcome! Please get in touch with us directly and as far in advance as possible so we can make any necessary arrangements to support impaired athletes.
We are also pleased to offer free registration to any athlete who is assisting a mobility, hearing or visually impaired participant.
Yes! Please ensure your race bib is worn on your outermost layer, iis horizontal, and is clearly visible from the front at all times.
Proper bib placement is critical for several reasons:
- Safety: It helps our staff quickly identify you in case of an emergency and our course marshals properly direct you on course
- Accurate Timing: The timing chip is on the back of the bib—if it's not on the outermost layer, we might not get a time for you!
- Photos: It helps our photo indexing identify you later so you can find and download all of your free race photos.
We at All-Out are proud to include competitive runners, joggers, walkers, canine companions, wheelchairs, and strollers! We ask that all participants show respect for fellow athletes and the public you are sharing the trail with by following basic trail etiquette and staff direction for start line positioning on race day.
If you observe poor etiquette or sportsmanship, even if you are not a participant in the event, please notify us in person or via email.
Egregious poor etiquette observed on the course or if we receive reports of or observe unsportsmanlike conduct on the course, before, or after the event, we will issue a ban from all AMP events for 1 year.
We have limited 4-ounce cups of water at the meal tent pre-race.
You betcha! We specifically choose our venues so there is ample nearby parking for our athletes.
However, please take note of two key details:
- Snow Plan: If it has snowed, please be aware that we cannot plow the event parking lot. There will be a designated lot farther away that can be plowed, so please plan accordingly.
- Lot Closure: The gates to the venue lot close promptly at 1:00 PM when the last athlete finishes. You will not be able to access your vehicle if it is left at the venue after this time.
Take a look at our course details page for details on the parking location.
YES. We strongly encourage all athletes to arrive with plenty of time! First, make sure to check the event schedule for when packet pick-up/registration closes for your distance, as we must close these in advance to prepare for timing. Second, for safety and accurate course management, we do not allow athletes to start after 5 minutes past the official start time. We need to know when and where all supported athletes are on the course. If you arrive after these cutoffs, we will still provide you with your race swag, but you will not be allowed to run the course with a bib as a supported athlete.
While permits to use the parks and trails are set to end at a certain point, we do our very best to allow plenty of time. We will always have a course sweep so we can support those who might fall a bit behind the pack, and we will not cut you off for the 5K, 10K, or half marathon distances. We find most all half marathon athletes finish within four hours, even those who choose to walk the entire distance.
We're proud to offer a Gear Check service for your convenience! If you choose to drop a layer after starting the race, all clothing dropped at your first pass of an aid station will be whisked back to the gear check tent before you finish. While you may drop items at any other aid station along the course, please be aware that those items might not be brought back to the venue until the end of the event.
Make sure you keep your bib to collect any checked gear, we confirm for your safety!
If you leave the venue before collecting your lost & found items or checked gear, we will hold it for 3 days after the event.
Please email us to arrange one of the following options:
- Pick up your gear.
- Have it shipped to you (a packaging and handling fee will apply).
- Have us bring it to your next All-Out event.
To maintain a healthy environment for all athletes, there will be no smoking (including vaping) or use of tobacco products permitted on the course or within the venue.
The Start and Finish Line are located in the exact same place: at the east end of the Stenger Sports Complex venue, directly under the big arch.
No need to carry extra weight! Course aid stations are an average of just 1.2 miles apart and include water and electrolytes in 4-ounce cupfuls, and energy gels. They also have Superganix plant-based balm and first aid kits. Check out the course details page for the location of the aid stations for your distance.
We pride ourselves on havign some of the best-marked courses in the area! We use ground markings of bright green gaffers tape, directional signs on green sign boards, and volunteer course marshals to guide you, but it is ultimately the athlete's responsibility to ensure they follow the course.
To help you prepare:
- Maps Available: Downloadable and interactive maps are available on the course detail page.
- On Display: A large course map will also be posted on display at packet pick-up for review.
Post-Race, Awards and Prizes
We're proud to offer more for our athletes' post-race recovery, and that includes those with dietary restrictions! While we can't offer a full spread for every single health need (at least not without a significant increase in registration fees), we make it a point to include an item or two that will be safe for anyone. This includes vegan breakfast burritos and we provide forks for gluten-free athletes who wish to safely eat the burrito contents.
We may have an independent coffee truck on site for food and drink purchases for spectators.
However, please note that the post-race nutrition (Gatorade, burritos, fruit, etc.) at the finish line and meal tent has been carefully purchased in quantities designed for the number of registered athletes only. We are unable to serve or sell any of the finish line recovery food or drinks to spectators.
If you couldn't stay until the award ceremony or finished after your award ceremony, don't fret! We make award collection easy:
- In-Person Pick-Up: If you finish after your award ceremony, just head over to the awards tent. We'll be happy to look up your standing and hand you the award right there!
- Off-Site Pick-Up: If you can't pick it up on race day, just contact us! We'll happily hold your award until your next event or ship it to you for a $5 fee.
We want you to love your race shirt!
Size Swaps
While you will initially receive the size you requested upon registration, if you find a different size works better, please stop by the registration tent after registration closes (spectators can help you with this!) to see if a swap is possible.
Custom-printed Brag Tags have been designed to attach directly to your finisher medal! These tokens are available to all repeat finishers of an event and can be picked up at the registration tent after registration has closed.
Preliminary results will be available electronically within minutes of you finishing!
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Please review your results before your award ceremony, even if you don't expect to have placed.
- Race Day Corrections: Discrepancies should be reported to the timers immediately to allow for necessary corrections and ensure the right awards go to the right athletes. Athletes will not be entitled to an award when the necessary correction went unaddressed on race day.
- Post-Race Corrections: Discrepancies discovered online later may be reported through the contact function on the results page or by contacting us directly. All discrepancies of any kind, for any reason, must be submitted by 11:59 PM on the Tuesday following the event to be considered for revision.
Every race bib will have a QR code located on the middle tab that will lead you straight to your results! You can also find your results at any time by accessing the Results menu item on the website.
This is a tough call at every race! The earlier we start the ceremony, the more late finishers miss out. The later we start, the more early finishers can't wait around. To us, scheduling the start of the awards ceremony for right in between the two extremes seems the fairest approach for all participants. If you finish after your award ceremony but have achieved a division placement, simply find any staff member in a green shirt and we will get you your award!
We have the great 3-deep awards you love for both Overall and Divisions that you can proudly display with your medal!
- Overall Winners: The top three runners of each gender will receive prizes from our sponsors or All-Out gear.
- Divisions: Competitive divisions are determined by an athlete’s age on race day and are grouped in 10-year increments (0-9, 10-19, 20-29, etc.).
- Placement Note: Those who place in the top three for their distance and gender will be moved up to the Overall Division, regardless of age. This leaves the remaining field eligible for division awards, ensuring more runners have a chance to step onto the podium!
- Random Prize: There is also a prize of a free event registration randomly selected from all participants of each distance; winners will be notified via email the week after the event.
Inclement Weather & Emergencies
Colorado weather can be unpredictable and severe. While we always prioritize athlete safety, we also strive to provide the running events as scheduled. Please note that if an event is shortened or canceled due to inclement weather or any other emergency, no refunds will be provided.
To ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience during colder months, here is our policy for winter events:
- Later Starts: Events start at 9:00 AM to allow ambient temperatures to rise.
- Plowing Policy: Events are held on public trails, and All-Out does not control the plowing of the trails or venue. Events will proceed regardless of the snow or ice condition of the trail or venue.
- Cancellation/Shortening:
- Events will not be canceled due to winter weather conditions unless a CDOT advisory is in effect that limits road travel to emergency and essential reasons.
- If incoming weather is predicted to cause such an advisory during the event, the event may be shortened to end prior to the advisory effective time.
- Cold Temperature: Events will be held regardless of the prevailing or predicted temperature unless a cold weather advisory or warning is in effect.
- Athlete Flexibility: Any athlete may shorten their distance before or during the event, as long as they notify the registration or timing staff before starting or immediately after finishing. They may also switch to a virtual participation any time before the start of their event.
- Updates: In the case of existing or predicted winter weather, trail and venue condition updates will be provided on the event website and social media the day before the event so that athletes can prepare accordingly.
We take athlete safety seriously when dealing with severe and unpredictable weather:
- Shortening the Event: If lightning, tornados, hail, or similar severe weather is predicted at a likely chance or higher, the event may be shortened to end prior to the advisory effective time.
- Lightning Protocol: If lightning is detected within a 6-mile radius of the event, the race will be paused. If the lightning causes a delay longer than 1 hour, the course may be shortened to finish within our permitted time frame.
- Flooding: In the case of flooding on the course, the course may be altered or shortened to avoid flooded areas.
- Rain or Shine: Events will be held rain or shine. Any athlete may shorten their distance before or during the event as long as they notify the registration or timing staff before starting or immediately after finishing.
If any other dangerous condition is known on or adjacent to the course (such as a bear sighting or an armed individual), the event will be altered, postponed, or canceled. The specific action taken will depend on the expected timeframe of the dangerous condition.
Other Musings
Here are some questions that come up often, addressing topics that don't fit into a specific category
YES! Make sure to pose at the event banner before your run to be eligible for the costume contest! Check out the costume contest page for details on the categories, eligible for awesome prizes from Penguins International!
While having alcohol is certainly not off the table for our events outside of public school property (like the Golden NAAC Stadium races), we're holding off for now. The process to license and permit the service of alcohol to a mixed-age crowd in an open atmosphere is demanding, requiring additional staff, equipment, and security on race day. Trust us when we say we hear you—this is the question we get asked most often! We plan to hold off until our events are big enough across the board that we can absorb these costs without being forced to raise registration prices. We won't forget when the time comes!
We are a "cup-full" event because we prioritize our runners over everything else! Endurance events are challenging enough, especially for beginners, and we don't want any athlete to worry about carrying or sustaining themselves.
We choose to avoid the risks of a cupless event: no one should have to wait in line for water at the finish or miss a Personal Record because they were delayed getting electrolytes on the course. We want the best experience for all runners, regardless of ability.
We still care about the planet! We actively recycle all plastic bottles and cardboard used at our aid stations and meal tent, and we are currently investigating ways to make it even easier for athletes to recycle the plastics they use.
To us, finisher medals are not about awarding what others have deemed a "respectable effort." They are about awarding the "never quit" or "refuse to fail" attitude each individual must have to cross that finish line. Because there's no way for us to know the perspective and journey of each athlete, we provide a custom finisher medal to all. We're here for your "why".
If you are of the mindset that medals aren’t necessary until you hit a longer distance, we encourage you to refuse a medal at the finish line or donate it to one of the many great running charities!
We love that you're an alumni and have been to our events before! However, somewhere around half of all the people in the starting chute are joining us for the very first time. Because of this, we provide all athlete details in the get ready email sent out on Monday before the race (with a copy on our website). Then we feel it's important to make sure we announce the most important safety and logistical details at the start line. (But don't worry—we're glad we're not reading all the details straight from the website either!)
Very few Colorado trails have been designed with natural loops that create the perfect 5K, 10K, or half marathon distances. To provide you with an accurate distance on a looped course, we would likely need to put you on roads that are either open to traffic and far less safe, or closed to traffic and far more expensive. Since providing a less safe course is not an option, choosing the more expensive route would mean higher entry fees—and nobody wants to see that happen!
You’re right—using bigger markers would certainly be easier to see! However, can you imagine what our beautiful Colorado trails would look like if all races did that? All-Out Multicourse has a very strict "Leave No Trace" policy. To adhere to this, we use gaffer’s tape that can be easily removed by our course sweep following the last athlete, ensuring our impact on the environment is minimal.
We always include the year on our SWAG for keepsake purposes, but we intentionally omit the specific date. But you just never know when a blizzard or other unforeseen event might cause a postponement!
